The Tigers take the field tonight on Homecoming facing the Colby Eagles. The HOCO ceremony will be at 6:30. Kickoff at 7:00. JV Football Announcement: It has been agreed upon by both schools that the JV game at SW Heights scheduled for Monday, 10/26, will NOT be played. It will be play off week and both teams wish to use that time to prepare for their respective play off games without the risk of getting any players injured that week.

There will be a "State Send Off" tomorrow morning, 10/15, for both State tennis (Corley McCormick) and State golf (Bella Kratzer and Natalia Guaderrama) at 9:00am in the UHS Commons Area. Come out and wish the girls well at their upcoming State events. Tennis is Friday-Saturday (10/16-17) in Topeka and Golf is Monday-Tuesday (10/19-20) in McPherson

Please join us in congratulating UHS's very own Industrial Arts and Construction instructor Mr. Peach! This week Mr. Peach was honored at a ceremony in Wichita where he was named the Associated General Contractors of America's Western Kansas Region Secondary Instructor of the Year award!!

Mr. Peach does an outstanding job of providing hands on learning experiences for his students in the woods shop, the drafting room, or sometimes on scene at construction sites! Congratulations Mr. Peach on this well deserved honor! #LockedIn

JV tennis in Liberal today has been postponed to Monday, 9/28.

Varsity golf in Scott City today has been cancelled and will NOT be rescheduled.

This Friday is the Golden Plains Credit Union "Blackout" game vs Scott City. Prior to the game, Pioneer Communications will be serving pulled pork sandwiches from Tate's Barbecue starting at 6:00. Come out to the stadium and support the Tigers!

Busy day for UHS Activities today: Golf at Lakin (1:00), JV golf at Scott City (1:00), Tennis at Meade (1:00), Volleyball at Guymon (4:00), and we are hosting cross country at 3:00 at Bentwood golf course. GO TIGERS!!

UHS will host a volleyball triangular on Thursday, September 24th, starting at 4:00. Before the Lady Tigers play their final match, around 7:00pm, we will have a youth volleyball recognition for the 3rd-6th grade GCRC teams. Youth players should wear their team shirt to enter for free.

Announcement: The C-team volleyball quad scheduled for Monday, 9/14, in Garden City has been cancelled.

Football Fans: The Tigers hit the road this evening for week 2 action at Cimarron. 7:00 Kickoff - hope to see many of you there. Unfortunately, to our knowledge, there is no livestream available. If we find out different, we'll get that information out. GO TIGERS!!

Football update: Still waiting on lightning to clear. We’re still planning on playing, but will certainly be delayed and cannot accurately predict a start time yet.

Football update: We have taken cover to let the storm pass. Our first criteria is to monitor lightning . Nothing can happen until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike. Once we're able to take the field, the teams will get 40 minutes of warm up time prior to kickoff.

They cannot be used while play is active. For football, active play means from the moment the ball is spotted for the next play until the whistle blows. --> Noisemakers that produce sound electronically will NOT be allowed. --> Host school administration have ultimate authority to ban any device if they question its appropriateness. HELP NEEDED: UHS Girls Golf will host their invitational golf tournament on Monday, September 14th. Because the tournament will be counted in the GWAC league standings this season, it requires the use of Markers (score keepers) for each group.
