On July 13, 2026, the Board of Education approved policy update in the Parent & Student Handbook regarding student cell phone and personal device use during the school day. Student safety and student learning are the highest priorities of USD 214. In alignment with Kansas House Bill No. 2299, the district is committed to maintaining a focused, distraction-free learning environment while addressing concerns related to cyberbullying, student well-being, and academic engagement.

Changes to Our Social Media Accounts Starting July 1, 2026, Kansas House Bill 2299 changes how schools use social media and cell phones. Under the new law, district employees cannot interact with students through social media.
Since we cannot always tell who owns a social media account, all official Ulysses School Buildings, club, and sports pages will no longer reply to direct messages or comments.

Misti was so excited to start her next adventure that she was unable to join us today. Misti's presence will be missed not only in the classroom, but also on the stage when the Musical students regroup in the fall. #OneRoar
